A visitor and bunnies

I thought you might like to see this. The last few days we’ve had a visitor in our garden.

It’s a Tawny Frogmouth! I’ve never seen one this close and I think it might have an injured wing. It does do a bit of hunting at night and our cats haven’t been trying to hunt it, so that’s good!

Oh, and our little bunnies are growing so much! Aren’t they cuties? πŸ™‚

Another Day of Creativity

The other day I made something for myself!

This wash cloth now lives in my kitchen and I already love it! It’s made with 100% cotton, it whipes my tables perfectly and is soft to touch. It was super easy and quick to make with a simple granny square pattern and a small edge around.

I made a few dish scrubbies with Acrylic yarn as well, as it is a little more rough, andΒ  I have lots of it! They all scrub very well and were so quick to make that I made one for my Zibbet shop as well. I decided to make that one a flower – I do like cute things. πŸ™‚

My Zibbet shop: Betty Crafts

Have a great day!

Crocheted Cream and Burgundy Bathroom set

I just thought I’d make a quick post here before bedtime, because I’m quite excited about something I finished crocheting today! It’s a cream and burgundy bathroom set and I just love the way the colours worked out. πŸ™‚

I especially like the Toilet Roll Cover with the cute little flowers. It reminds me of something similar my mum used to have, though hers was made as a doll’s dress.

The entire set is for sale over in my Zibbet shop, Betty Crafts, but … I might have to make another set for myself if this one sells! Lol

Now it’s off to bed for me! I just got off the phone with my parents (who live on the other side of the world) and now it’s 2 am … luckily it’s holiday time! πŸ™‚

See you next time!

First sale!

I just had my first sale over at my Zibbet shop today! πŸ™‚ The Teddy Bear coaster seems to be quite popular and a bunch of my little flowers went away with it, too.

I did have a bit of a mess up, though. It seems the post office and I didn’t quite agree on calculating the costs of posting to the US and I ended up paying over $10 instead of $4.30 – they even charged for my envelope, which I had already bought earlier :/

I try and take it as a learning experience, though. Not much else I can do, I suppose, lol πŸ˜› I did have to rise the prices in my shop a bit, though, but that’s okay.

I also put up some more flowers today. These ones are a little smaller, and perfect for card making or sewing on hats, scarves, bags etc.

Teddy Bear coaster and kitchen scrubbies

I decided to take a little break from the bag I have been working on the last few days and instead focus on something a bit smaller. Here’s the finished results:

3 scrubbies – perfect for cleaning your kitchen or bathroom. 100% acrylic, great for cleaning, easy to maintain:

Teddy Bear coaster. Cute as can be! πŸ™‚

The idea for the Teddy Bear coaster is hugely inspired from http://www.crochetspot.com/free-crochet-pattern-teddy-bear-coaster/ (The page was down the day I started working on this little guy, so I didn’t see the full pattern till later, but what a great idea! πŸ™‚ )

Both the scrubbies and the Teddy Bear coaster can be found in my shop at Zibbet. Feel free to have a look!

Crocheted White Bath Set

I finally put the first items up for sale in my shop on Zibbet – a cute little bath set consisting of 1 large face/body wash cloth and 3 small cloths, all crocheted in 100% cotton, all handmade. πŸ™‚

This set came about because I saw a cute pattern on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dishcloth-46) and got an idea for something similar – I was in need of a few cute, little things for my own bathroom! I think this bath set turned out quite well, and it was only theΒ  second go I had on my idea. πŸ™‚

Pot Holder and Coaster

The other day I finished this little pot holder and coaster set.

I saw a pattern on Ravelry and decided to try it out. It turned out rather cute, I think! I plan on adding a few more coasters and will probably put it in my shop on Zibbet when I open it. Come check it out, if you like! πŸ™‚
